Rehoming An Abandoned Dog
Before we allow you to take on one of our dogs we must ensure that you are a suitable and acceptable candidate.
What we need from you
We require proof of identification and also ask for a donation to be made to the kennels. This donation helps to cover the cost of veterinary treatment for the dog as well as help with the upkeep of the kennels. We will check your home and your lifestyle to make sure the dog is a compatible match for you. This has to work both ways so both you and the dog have a long happy future together for many years to come.
Contact us today if you are interested in providing a loving family for an animal you see on our website.
Visits by Appointment Only
We welcome visitors to our kennels but due to our busy schedule, we request that you please telephone to arrange a time to visit beforehand. Thank you.
A Dog is for life
Our dogs must be taken on for the rest of their lives, and not just a passing whim. They have already been abandoned at least once so you must pledge to us that you are serious about having this dog until his/her dying day. Please remember that even if your circumstances change your dog's do not.
N.B. Ownership of one of our dogs must be taken dog very seriously indeed.
Rescue Dogs in Pembrokeshire
We currently have a large number of rescued and abandoned dogs with us looking for kind, loving permanent homes.
These dogs are still with us as a result of running Pembrokeshire Council Stray Dog Pound for 6 years during which time 2000 dogs came through our hands.
If you are looking to take on an abandoned dog and to love and cherish forever please contact us today.

|Dog Reference:||Cinnamon - Beautiful Grey Fluffy Cat|
|Breed:||American Shorthaired Cross|
Cinnamon is a stunningly beautiful young female cat with a loving cuddly temperament. She is used to children and family life. Can any one give her a second chance?
|Colour:||White with black on the face|
Baby is a really beautiful female American Bulldog who has been with us for 2 years. She is in amazing condition and she has a sound loving temperament. She is easy going and happy, walking on or off the lead. We adore this gorgeous dog.
She can only go to an approved knowledgable home used to larger breeds with the correct facilities in place.

Roger is a very handsome Spaniel aged 5 years. His elderly owner has recently died, and sadly none of the immediate family has been able to take him on.
He is a very loving dog, but he is not great on the lead, we are working on that. He is housetrained, good with other dogs and cats, and he loves company and lots of cuddles.
Becco and Minx have been with us in rescue for over 2 years but no one has come to see them or offer them a home. Their owner had to give them up a long time ago due to ill health.
These cats are absolutely stunning with the best of temperaments. Surely someone out there could offer them a loving permanent home.

Rocky has had a difficult life, and right now he is quite a difficult dog. He has been kept all his life in one room, he is underweight, mangy and unhappy.
He has never been on a lead, he has not been socialised and he is a cat chaser so this dog is a challenge.
He is having every chance to become a happy balanced dog here in our rescue where we are taking things very slowly with him. He will not be up for adoption unless he becomes a happy confident dog.
Fly has been here with us in rescue for six years. He is an ex working sheep dog who unfortunately he does not like many people, he especially dislikes women. He has given most of us a nip or two over the years, but we now love him dearly.
He will probably be with us for the rest of his life now as he is at least 12 years old and so far the right person / home has not come along for him. Any donations of any kind to make Fly's life more comfortable would be very gratefully received.
|Dog Reference:||Bulls Eye|
|Breed:||Shih Tzu X|
Bulls Eye is 11 years old and has been in our rescue for six years. The right person never came along for poor Bulls Eye but he does have his own fan club based with Jean in Ebbw Vale. He is now with us for life due to his expensive health problems, he has recently had one of his eyes removed due to a tumour which has been very traumatic for him. He is still a great character and will always be our kennel mascot.
Bulls Eye's operation cost more than five hundred pounds, and we are footing the bill ourselves as our rescue is not funded. Any donations for Bulls Eye's operation, or any bedding, food, toys etc would be very gratefully received.
Griff has been brought in to our rescue centre in this very sorry state. He was left alone on a farm for a long period of time to fend for himself when his owner went into hospital.
He is now in one of our foster homes under strict veterinary care, and he will not be up for rehoming until he is fully recovered. We hope to be able to update the photos on this site soon as this poor boy begins to recover.
